Yi Café is an international culinary experience featuring 10 show kitchens and a lively cosmopolitan atmosphere. The walk-through Ethnic market style design, with gourmet showcases and spectacular live cooking stations presenting cuisines from China, Japan, India, South East Asia as well as Europe and the West is the ultimate food experience.
The restaurant stages an artful display of show kitchens, set out in interesting juxtapositions, each with its unique character and style of cuisine. All have one thing in common − happy chefs interacting with delighted guests. Constantly, appetizing food is being prepared, and served hot off the pan, wok, grills and ovens amid animated conversation between chefs and guests.
As in a treasure hunt, deciding which show kitchen to go to first, is half the fun. Getting there and walking away with the food of one’s choice, resembles ‘finding the treasure’. The show kitchens are categorized as follows:
- Chinese - Roast, hot foods, dim sum
- Moroccan - Tagine and oven-baked dishes from the Middle Eastern world
- Malaysian - Roti canai, spring rolls, grills and satays
- Indian - Some of the best curries in town, and specialties from the Tandoor oven
- Western - Featuring a chef’s every dream – a handmade Moltenyi kitchen range, offers rotisserie, Mediterranean cooking, pasta station
- Noodle Bar - Choice of home made Asian noodles, with a variety of soup bases and toppings
- Seafood - Japanese Sushi and Sashimi, and selection of fresh seafood
- Salads - Choice of salads and dressings, as well asThai salads
- Ice Cream & Candy Bar - Ice creams, fruit, cookies and candies galore
- Dessert & Deli - A mouth-watering selection of desserts and f.reshly baked breads, and savouries.
If the buffet selection is too much to take in, an a la carte menu is also available.
Complementing the meal are Yi Café’s signature iced teas or a wine list featuring over 250 imported and local wines.
