The world famous Zen chain has developed a new concept restaurant aimed at the younger, hipper consumer. Zen Zen Cuisine's first branch is located on the fourth floor of Shanghai's Raffles City shopping mall. Plans are to open many Zen Zen Cuisine's in major cities throughout China in the coming years.

The menu is basically the same with a new "half-portion" section of Zen's favorites, as well as the addition of Shanghainese and Sichuan dishes. The idea is by having a lower price point and smaller portions, people will be able to sample more of Zen Zen's dishes.
