In the space that once housed Casanova Ristorante’s bar comes the beautiful and hip new Velvet Lounge. The combination of subtle lighting, house music, and comfy sofas arranged throughout the lounge make Velvet Lounge’s atmosphere hard to beat. And if you are hungry but don’t want to leave your seat, you can always order a wood-fired pizza cooked at the bar in the back.
The pour is pretty generous at Julu Lu’s newest place to be seen, and prices are reasonable (45-50RMB for mixed drinks). If you love your booze and don't necessarily care much for how it tastes - then order a Sidecar - a stiff concoction that warms the tummy.
International DJs spin house music on Friday and Saturday nights, when the place is open into the wee hours of the morning.
