The two Morano brothers - Angelo and Vincenzo - from Calabria, have transformed the 5th floor of an old factory into a piece of Italy here in Shanghai. The view from the rooftop deck reminds us of our days in the Old Country with a Puxi twist - as old slate roofs are dwarfed by skyscrapers popping up in the distance.
When you finally make it upstairs (either by the unreliable elevator or hoofing it up five flights of stairs) and into the dining room, you will be tempted by an antipasti table with grilled and marinated vegetables before you can be seated.
Additionally, That's Amore uses its Forno a Legna to perfection. We love their wood-burning oven pizzas more than any other one we've tasted in Shanghai.
