| Shanghai does have a number of places that serve a pretty mean burger. We opted to leave out fast-food chains from our review, but McDonald's and even the new Burger King on Nanjing Xi Lu can be had, if that is your preference. The list of establishments below are the ones we feel offer Shanghai's best burgers. |
| |
 | | a FuturePerfect The Jalapeno Burger. A 220g homemade US Sirloin beauty, served on a toasted, sunflower bun that is made fresh daily in the on-premises bakery. | | | | | | | Malone's The sheer breadth of Malone’s burger menu makes it the one place in Shanghai where you can go back time and again without having to eat the same burger. The “stuffed burgers” are definitely worth trying. Our favorite is the simple bacon cheeseburger, topped with a fat slice of tomato and some lettuce. Burgers range from 60RMB to 90RMB. | | | | | | | KABB (Xintiandi) The KABB Burger is another one of our nominees for best burger in Shanghai. However, it is not fancy in its presentation, nor does KABB has the burger variety that Malone’s offers. | | | | | | | Big Bamboo Sports Bar & Grill The double decker burger at Big Bamboo was tasty, but our only complaint is you need to have a double-jointed mouth to get your mouth around that thing. Fork and knife, please? | | | | | | | Moon River Diner (Hongqiao) Moon River Diner has an extensive list of mouth-watering burgers. The bonus is the authentic Heinz mustard and ketchup on every table. Nice! | | | | |
