 | | 239 - CLOSED January 2007 Although technically a restaurant, 239 serves the best dry martini in Shanghai, hands down. Although the price is steeper than most (80RMB for Ketel One), the fact that it has been the only "bruised" martini we have seen in more than 2 years in Shanghai speaks volumes about the level of detail these guys put into everything (food, drink, service, atmoshphere) they do. | | | | | | | Bar Rouge What we liked about Bar Rouge's dry vodka martini was the fact that is was a healthy pour and the (intended) substitution of the traditional olives with a long lemon peel that took a little of the "bite" off that first sip. | | | | |
